As Men of Acts 29, we believe our lives are the next chapter of the story that St. Luke began — written through our choices, our witness, and our commitment to be intentional disciples to all we meet. We are guided by three simple words — Make, Mold, and Mission. We choose daily to make ourselves like our Lord, be conformed to His Word and Eucharist, and be channels of His Grace and Mercy to everyone we meet. All men of the parish are welcome. There are no strangers at St. Luke — only brothers we have yet to meet. This scholarship is our way of investing in the next generation — young men and women of faith who carry the values of our parish community into the world. We believe that supporting higher education is one of the most meaningful ways we can serve our parish family and give back to those who represent our future. Eligible applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are active members of the St. Luke parish community and planning to enroll in an accredited college or university. Details on the application process, deadlines, and award amounts are announced each year through the parish bulletin and our website. For more information, please contact us directly or speak with a member of our club after any Sunday Mass. ![St. Luke Men's Club members at a club gathering](https://stlukemensclub.com/hs-fs/hubfs/St.%20Luke%20Mens%20Club%20Rosary.jpeg?width=2000&height=1500&name=St.%20Luke%20Mens%20Club%20Rosary.jpeg) 6.18.2026 ### Preparing for the Father's Day Rosary Giveaway At our recent men's club meeting, the brothers of St. Luke gathered for a quiet labor of love — carefully placing rosaries into individual bags in preparation for our Father's Day Rosary Giveaway. This Sunday, June 21, members of the St. Luke Men's Club will hand these rosaries to the fathers of our parish at Mass — a simple gift to encourage every dad to keep prayer at the center of his family and to draw closer to our Blessed Mother. It's a small act with a big heart, and a reflection of who we are as Men of Acts 29 — putting our faith into action, one prayer at a time. ![Men's Club members preparing buns at the Burger Plate fundraiser](https://stlukemensclub.com/hs-fs/hubfs/WhatsApp%20Image%202026-04-11%20at%207.25.00%20AM.jpeg?width=768&height=1024&name=WhatsApp%20Image%202026-04-11%20at%207.25.00%20AM.jpeg) 01.25.2026 ### Burger Plate Fundraiser Join the St. Luke Men's Club for one of our most beloved community traditions — the Burger Plate Fundraiser! In the spirit of gratitude and service, our members come together to distribute turkeys to families in need — bringing warmth, generosity, and the love of Christ to our neighbors right here in our community. This event reflects the heart of who we are as Men of Acts 29 — called not just to grow in faith, but to put that faith into action. Every turkey we give represents our commitment to serve our families, our parish, and our community with humble and grateful hearts. We are grateful to our generous sponsors, donors, and volunteers whose support makes this event possible year after year. Together we are making a difference — one family at a time. In that spirit, the St. Luke's Men's Club is proud to support the **Del Camino Ministry**, a Brownsville, Texas–based Jesuit outreach serving migrants and asylum seekers along the U.S.–Mexico border. #### A Member's Witness One of our own, Dennis Cruz, recently traveled with **Fr. Brian Strassburger, S.J.** of San Felipe Parish in Brownsville to a migrant shelter in Matamoros, Mexico. There, he encountered fellow Catholics waiting — many in quiet desperation — for their future appointments for citizenship consideration. Dennis assisted in preparing for Mass and was honored to serve as a Eucharistic Minister to those gathered. In his own words: > *"During Communion I felt so unworthy to present to them our Lord. I could see the hope in their eyes and know of their quiet desperation. I challenge myself to see Christ in the other — and also strive to be Christ to the other. I know that I did see our Lord in the faces, smiles, and hearts of those I met at the Migrant Shelter."* These are not strangers. They are our fellow Catholics seeking, through legal means, a better life for their families. #### Our Commitment Inspired by Dennis's encounter and the tireless work of Fr. Brian and the Jesuit Priests of the Del Camino Ministry, **the St. Luke's Men's Club has made a $500 donation** to support this Catholic ministry. We invite our parish family and broader community to join us in continued support of this worthy endeavor. #### How You Can Help If you feel called to look into your heart and contribute to the Del Camino Ministry, you can donate directly through the Jesuits of the Central and Southern Province: **[Support the Del Camino Ministry — Donate Here](https://www.jesuitscentralsouthern.org/support-us/)** God Bless, *The St. Luke's Men's Club* #### EVENT SPONSORS [![El Mesquite Restaurant logo, event sponsor](https://stlukemensclub.com/hubfs/elmesquite.jpeg)](https://www.elmesquiterestaurant.com/) [![That Little BBQ Place logo, event sponsor](https://stlukemensclub.com/hubfs/little%20BBQ%20Place.jpg)](https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61588231983149#) [![Sponsor spot available: your logo could be here](https://stlukemensclub.com/hubfs/sponsor.jpg)](https://stlukemensclub.com/contact?hsLang=en) [![Sponsor spot available: your logo could be here](https://stlukemensclub.com/hubfs/sponsor.jpg)](https://stlukemensclub.com/contact?hsLang=en) St. Luke Men's Club A ministry of St. Luke Catholic Church 2800 Rockwell Drive · Brownsville, Texas 78521 [Home](https://stlukemensclub.com) [About Us](https://stlukemensclub.com/about-us?hsLang=en) [Events](https://stlukemensclub.com/events?hsLang=en) [Join Us](https://stlukemensclub.com/join-us?hsLang=en) [Contact](https://stlukemensclub.com/contact?hsLang=en) [Scholarship](https://stlukemensclub.com/scholarship?hsLang=en)   "There are no strangers at St. Luke — only brothers we have yet to meet." © 2026 St. Luke Men's Club · Brownsville, Texas · All Rights Reserved Website hosted & maintained by [Aruon.ai](https://aruon.ai) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@id" : "https://stlukemensclub.com/#organization", "@type" : "Organization", "address" : { "@type" : "PostalAddress", "addressCountry" : "US", "addressLocality" : "Brownsville", "addressRegion" : "TX", "postalCode" : "78521", "streetAddress" : "2800 Rockwell Drive" }, "description" : "Catholic men's ministry of St. Luke Catholic Church in Brownsville, Texas.
