We are a brotherhood of Catholic men committed to growing in our faith, serving our parish, and supporting one another as brothers in Christ. As men of St. Luke, we are called to emulate the zeal of our patron saint in his writing of the Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. His invitation and challenge to each of us is simple — be Missionary Disciples by being a daily witness of the Gospel in our lives.  We strive to be the face of Christ to the other and also see the face of Christ in the other.  All men of the parish are welcome — whether you are a lifelong Catholic or just beginning your journey, there is a place for you at our table. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19-20 ## Men of Acts 29   We proudly carry the charism of **Men of Acts 29.** The Book of Acts, written by St. Luke himself, contains 28 chapters. Our lives today are the next chapter — Acts 29 — written through our daily choices, our witness, and our commitment to be intentional disciples to all we meet. Just as the early disciples went forth with courage and conviction, we are called to do the same — right here in Brownsville, in our homes, our parish, and our community. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." — Acts 1:8 ## Make — Mold — Mission   Three words define who we are as individuals and as a brotherhood. 1\. MAKE We choose daily to make ourselves like our Lord. The Lord will continue to **Make** us into the men we were born to be — ONLY if we choose **HIM.** 2\. MOLD We choose daily to be conformed to His Word and Eucharist. We are all challenged to mold ourselves in His **WORD** and choose daily to be Men of the Eucharist. 3\. MISSION We choose daily to be channels of His Grace and Mercy to those we meet. As we grow closer to the Lord, we are called to be on mission — to be the face of our Lord to others, and with hearts full of **HIS Grace and Mercy**, see our Lord in everyone we meet. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed." — Luke 4:18 "There are no strangers at St. Luke — only brothers we have yet to meet." [JOIN THE BROTHERHOOD](https://stlukemensclub.com/join-us?hsLang=en) ## Mission, Vision & Core Values   Mission Statement To unite men through prayer, fellowship, and formation so they can deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and live as servant leaders. Vision Statement To build a community of intentional disciples who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, lead their families in faith and actively participate in the mission of the Church. Core Values ● Prayer Centering our lives on a personal relationship with Christ through regular prayer and the sacraments. ● Fraternity Providing a supportive environment for men to share their struggles and hold each other accountable. ● Formation Continuously growing in knowledge of the Catholic faith and understanding of our identity in Christ. ● Service Applying our faith in action by serving our families, church, and local community. "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another." — Hebrews 10:24-25 ## Governance   The St. Luke Men's Club operates under bylaws adopted by our Upper Room (Executive Board), in keeping with the authority of our Pastor and the policies of St. Luke Catholic Church.
