Scholarship Program

The St. Luke Men's Club is proud to invest in the next generation of Catholic leaders by awarding three annual scholarships to graduating seniors of our parish community who are continuing their education at a college or university.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a graduating high school senior in the current academic year — open to all graduating seniors who are members of our parish, regardless of the school attended.

Must be an active registered parishioner of St. Luke Catholic Church in Brownsville, Texas.

Must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year.

Must demonstrate active participation in parish life including Mass attendance, ministry involvement, or community service.

Rules & Regulations

●

Only one application per student will be accepted per academic year.

●

All applications must be submitted by the deadline — late applications will not be considered under any circumstances.

●

Applications must include a personal essay, a letter of recommendation from a parish priest, deacon, or ministry leader, and a copy of the applicant's most recent official transcript.

●

The scholarship is non-renewable — recipients may reapply in subsequent years, but are not guaranteed the award.

●

The St. Luke Men's Club Scholarship Committee will review all applications, and its decision is final.

●

Award funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient to be applied toward tuition and educational expenses at their accredited institution.

Completed applications must include all of the following:

One letter of recommendation from a parish priest, deacon, or ministry leader

✓

Copy of most recent official high school transcript

✓

Proof of college or university acceptance
